Well the brake conversion is finally done. After a long weekend of wrenching, I now have a Mustang that stops and stops well...finally. I am pretty tired and sore (not to sound like a pu$$y) so I will keep this short and let the pictures do most of the talking.
13" rotors up front with Mach 1, PBR 2 piston calipers and 11.65" rotors in the rear with Cobra/GT calipers in the back. the wheels are '99 cobra wheels wrapped with Yokohama AVS ES100 tires. I used all new parts including new 5 lug axles, FRPP front control arms and the rest of the brake parts. The only used parts that I used was a '95 Cobra booster that I got off of Ebay for $45 and the spindles that came off of a '95 GT that I cleaned up and painted black.
We did run into a slight problem though. The FRPP proportioning valve plug that I got from Summit was wrong so we looked and looked for a substitute, but to no avail. My friend's dad suggested that we drill a screw through the stock valve cap so the head seated on the inside and fill it up will all metal 2 part epoxy. when it dried we cut off the excess screw and IT WORKED!!! It hardened like a charm and I sure I will leave it in.
