Hi,

we have the same problems on two differents Mustangs!
We tried to bleed the brake hydraulic system many times, but the problem remains.

This problem happens after we changed the lines, Rubber hoses and master cylinder have been changed.

The facts: the first time you push on the brake pedal, it goes without effect on brakes and only when you pump two of three more times its start to brake!.... more secondes later, you have to find the same start situation, without effect on brakes when you push on brake pedal... .

I tried to pinch a front rubber hose and realised that everything's ok then. There isn't enough fluid injected to maintain enough pressure, I think.

An other Mustang equipped with exactly the same parts, hasn't such a problem.

Compared, the only difference is the distributer.

Did you have such a problem one time?

I don't know anymore what to do.

Please, need H :bang: ELP ! ! !

Thanks !

Did you do anything to the internal piston from the MC before you installed it? You may have damaged the seals on the MC piston (or whatever it's called. plunger?), which prevents it from fully pressurizing the lines.

It's possible the master cylinder is defective. I happened to get two defective ones before buying one that worked.

When you bench bled the master cylinder, how quickly did it firm up? How firm did it get? It should get very firm very quickly. It should only take a minute or two to get the master cylinder bled on the bench.

If it took longer, return it and get a replacement from the auto parts store.

Good luck.
