I am buying my 2005 mustang from Brandon Ford in Florida. They are the largest mustang dealer in the United States. For this reason, I was wondering if anyone knew if they would be one of the first or one of the last to receive the mustangs.
Early shipments of 2005 Mustangs will be by allocation.
The plan is to ship the small Ford dealers 2 stangs and the large ones 3 stangs. The ONLY way a dealer will get delivery of more 05 Stangs is to sell one or more of their initial allocation cars.
This way there will be as many dealers as possible who will have an '05 in their showrooms.
Latest rumors are that Ford is attempting to get ALL dealers at least 1 - '05 Stang for the "official" Sept 27 introduction.
You might have wanted someone to say "Bill Ford told me personally at dinner last night that Bandon Ford will be getting over 5,000 new Mustangs in September", but I don't think a reply like that will happen.
Well I can probably get you a better deal if you go through the manager of the dealership that sponsors my mustang club. I can pretty much gaurantee he will beat the cost and is in one of the top 20 dealers in the nation.
