Breather Filter

this may be a dumb question but what the hell is the point of a breather filter??????

Are you talking about a breather filter in the valve cover that replaces the oil fill. If you are that is to release pressure in the crank case. Usually used if you have a supercharger.

cool thanks man never knew lol! always see them on stangs but never knew what they were used for

ya, theyre illegal in cali. they work real nice though.

Your talking about the little breather filter on the driver side valve cover, people use a little breather to delete the one from the factory and hose going from that to the cold air intake.

so, i know this is an old post but I am new and just searching for idea's. I was thinking about replacing that hose going from drivers side valve cover to the intake with one. are there any negatives to this? I am trying to start cleaning up the engine bay a bit.
