Well, I have been doing some searching lately, and finally have the cash to do some upgrades to the mustang. I've heard nothing but great stuff from Brenspeed's C&L CAI and SCT tuner package, but came across this setup while looking around...http://www.rpmoutlet.com/05gt.htm. I like their "Tuner Package" and the "E" package at the bottom of the page. What would you guys suggest? I know Brenspeed has a great reputation, and I don't know that much about RPM outlet. I just don't know if the "reputation" outweighs the extreme price difference. ($150.00 ) Any and all feedback is appreciated. I know that I should wait for the SCT Livewire, but I think I am going to wait and see how they work out the bugs.

rpm has had a bad reputation if you get the wrong parts. search the forums, and many people have been disatisfied. brenspeed has an excellent reputaion, and the stangnet store is awesome. i have experiences with brenspeed and the SN store, but not RPM. hope that helps you.

I've had nothing but good experiences with RPM outlet. BUT, that being said, I can promise you that the tunes you get from them will be NOTHING compared to Brenspeed's tunes. And after all, you're buying a tuner to load a specific tune into your vehicle- why not load the best tune you possibly can? Brenspeed- you won't be disappointed.

cai and tuner

I highly recommend John Demolet's unit, the price is reasonable and most important for me, his service after the sales is outstanding!

I would definitely go with Brenspeed over RPM. Do you have an auto or manual? If you have an auto I would recommend Doug at Bamachips for your package. Doug has really got the tunes for the auto down.

Spend the extra money and go for the service. I went with RPM and regretted it for the past 5 months. Here's the quick breakdown though if you do a search you can find my thread.

- Ordered the C&L/Diablo Street kit.

- Followed up 3 weeks later to find out a shipment date, they rebuffed me continually until finally I get a shipping # 3 weeks after I ordered and after 3 E-mails to their service desk.

- Turns out they just never bothered to ship it and had charged me in full the day after I ordered it. So 4 weeks after I ordered I finally receive my kit.

- Ooops, it's the Racer kit.

- Took me days to get them to exchange the kit. Those many days were spent getting them to agree to pay for shipping for their mistake.

- They finally send me the replacement parts to make it a "street" kit.

- Oops, they didn't send the worm drive clamps.

- Send back the other parts that were no longer needed. hey they complain that there is a worm drive clamp missing. Gotta charge me $15 for that. Umm I told you numbnuts that it wasn't there (I called 5 minutes after the package showed up).

- Ooops, they didn't include a return shipping label and they didn't ship it properly so I'm on the hook for more duty charges and I have to pay to ship it back to them. Don't worry we'll refund you for that, my supervisor just told me so!

- A lot of back and forth and basically they refuse to believe that they didn't ship it. They apparently have "photographic" proof of what they sent out. a week and a half goes by and nobody will send me a photo proving what was sent. (odd eh?).

- After my probably 30th phonecall over 3 months they just call blocked my number and refused to answer my E-mails.

- At that point they owed me for the deposit I paid on the parts they shipped out in advance and shipping to and from me. So in total $200cdn give or take a buck.

- I was able to get Visa to go after them for $100 but I end up being out $100 because they are a bunch of scam artists. Hey look $100 was the difference if I had just gone to Brenspeed!

Please learn from my lesson! Apparently I shouldn't have been gone off these forums for the past couple months, people thinking of shopping there makes the hairs on my neck stand up!

Brenspeed.

RPM has a horrible reputation (as you can see) and they aren't worth the hassle.

I would highly suggest Brenspeed. I had the opportunity to attend their last Dyno day at the shop. It was great. They are a great group of guys that eat sleep and breathe mustangs. Keep in mind that I maybe somewhat biased in my opinion since I live about five minutes from their shop.

Well, this is an old thread. I have dealt with Brenspeed since when I upgraded my tuner and as I've posted elsewhere they were good to deal with and the tune for my auto is incredible!
