It was a horrible day at the track. It was so hot and humid, I've had trouble indicating a rich lean condition at the track. The best I ran was 12.58 @ 105.5. That was during the day. I stayed to bracket race and was getting slower and had to up jet it a little to to stay with my dial-in. I nailed it twice dead on at 12.71.(thank-you very much). But I still can't cut a light. So it looks to be pointing at very lean. As it got cooler I got slower.
But anyways... I ran a descent 7.93 on the one motor run I got during test and tune(track was VERY SLOW) Then I tried the nitrous. From about the 4k mark in first all the way thru, the 100 hp yielded only a 1/8 mi of 7.855. That was on the bottle!!! And the 330 mark was slower on the bottle. WTF!!! EXPLAIN THAT JUNK!!!! The nitrous doen't Seem to hit as hard as with my old setup. I figured to stall would just jump. But I Think I may just be making the thing slip way too much. Or I have just fried to forward clutches. I don't have the blues. The tranny guy I bought them from said I would probably on need the tans. I noticed the tranny take a second or two till it dropped into gear. So I'll end up draining the thing to find out I have to pull the tranny. So I'll eventually get around to it when I feel like being pissed of for 2 weeks. Hell I may just end up getting a tko or something. I'm not going to get a n20 stall.
Any idea? Ever seen this before? I meen I'm seeing guys on the bottle w/100 shot go from 8.2' to 7.5'-7.6's. But what is happening is got me boggled. If it is the forward or mabye even the direct, that would even explain what I'm lacking on motor, too. SOMEBODY, POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION!!! Thanks guys.

Did you rejet at the track? How loose is the converter? Foot brake stall? How old is the rebuild on the tranny? Did you use extra plates in the trans? I don't know much about tranmissions, but I am starting to learn. There are some good c4 guys here http://www.fordmuscle.com/phpBB/viewforum.php?forum=13&1433 . Even blowing through the converter, it should pick up more et than that. I think your tranny may be slipping, does the fluid smell burnt? What did the trap speeds on motor look like? What did the plugs look like?

I couldn't rejet the carb. It was running consistent. I didn't want to break out. The plugs were pretty white. I thought they should be bronze. But I'm being told by a few different people, that a white plug is not always lean with electronic ignition. That contradicts everything I thought I knew. But I pulled some and the porcelain, and elecrode are perfectly brand new looking. But the ground strap is a little white and ashy. As for the converter it is a TCI streetfighter. It isn't real loose. Drive just like stock, but loose enough I can stall it to 3k easy enough. I foot brake to 1900 and flash to about 3100. It's a fresh rebuild. With about 15 passes. I have an extra steel and clutch in both the forward and direct. The funny thing is it does still go low 12's at 113, and I'm not actually crossing any higher in 3rd. So it has to be slipping is my only guess. That or it's ungodly lean. I think I' going to blow everyone off and jet it way up till the plugs turn bronze. Maybe I'll head to the 1/8 again. This 1/4 mi junk is expensive when you rent a trailer, and tow 175 mi both ways.

Some fuels leave white deposits with correct jetting, turbo blue for one. It depends on the fuel as to what a good plug looks like. If you have not started a log book , do it from now on. Note jetting ,tire pressure, timing, weather, everything, plus a sentence or two about everything during the run. Rome was not built overnight, so keep plugging away.

if you are looking at the insulators then the engine is running way rich or way lean. the fuel will clean deposits off the plugs on a run when you shut down at idle. if you are looking at the deposits on the plug, then as stated some fuels will leave white deposits. it sounds though as if the tranny has some issues.
