2+2GT,
Would I be correct in assuming that is Ford's "Candyapple Red" from 67 & 68? If so, I believe it's not as difficult to shoot as custom, semi iridescent style candy apple red. Is that a solid color with no metallic?
Thanx,
Gene

"Candyapple Red" code T is a non-metallic red, unlike aftermarket custom "candy apple red" paints. Dead easy to match.

look at volkswagon red. it's a very red red, with a very very slight purple to it in the reflections. no orange at all.

here's my coupe painted in '06 with that year red from volkswagon

and a few years later:

I always liked the Jalapeno Red that Ford used on the '86 Mustang (especially the SVO). Not too orange.

Of course, it's tough to go wrong with Porsche Guards Red (just be sure the paint dealer doesn't accidentally mix the Porsche India Red by mistake - that one *is* more orange). I've seen Guards Red on cars as large as Galaxie Starliners; I can see why Porsche has kept it around for so long.
