Guys, im bringing out the car this weekend after about 7 months of storage. Is there anything that i need to do to it to have it be ready to drive for the next 5 months??? Any help would be great. Also, do you recommend getting the oil changed after i bring it out?

I've been told to change the oil before I store it and when it's time to come out of storage which is what I do. I took my car out for a quick spin the other day first time since Nov 1 and it ran pretty well. A little rough at first but I worked out the bugs.

Good luck!

I hope you put treatment in the gas before you put it away or pulling it out won't be too much fun...

I do. The car seemed fine but for a bit of hesitation early on.

Change the oil and you should be fine. Sitting over the winter isnt long enough for much to go wrong.

it sat with a full tank of gas with a bottle of stabil added into it. Will it harm the car if i do not immedietely get the oil changed, lets say wait a week and then have it done, or should i immedietely have it done? Also, i am looking into putting in synthetic blend b/c of the mods that i put on over the winter, it just has regular oil in it now, should i first start with a half and half blend or should i put in all synthetic??? Thanks for your help.

How long is too long before the gas goes bad in the tank? I've had my coupe in the garage since December.

did you use stable in the tank. if you put a bottle of that in then you should be fine, other wise you might encounter some troubles.

What I did last Saturday after 5 months of storage is this.

Fired her up, got a little heat in her, pulled out of my shop and pointed
her in a safe direction and dropped the hammer slideways through 1-2 gear, all is well

No, I did not put stablizer in it. I didn't think it would sit this long, but I haven't had time to work on it lately. Is it to late to add some?

I have never used stabilizer, small engine guys use it as something else to sell.

I've never used stabilizer, and my car always starts right up. She'll be out in a few weeks...

Just change the oil when you get it out man and you will be fine. I change my oil before i put it away and usuakky the day after i take it out. And this is just my opinion but don't hammer on it right away. Give it a good warm up and cool down cycle. And i'm jelous my car won't be coming out for almost another two months.
