I guess I horsed my pony a little too much. Driving around I noticed a clank from under the rear passenger side of the car when I hit bumps, so I pulled over and sure enough the passenger side of the rear sway bar broke right where it connects at. This ever happen to anybody else?

What did you do? How did you fix it? Any tips/suggestions for me? Thanks!

I have relpaced several on these cars around here. They seem to break about a half inch from the bolt holes. Just get a stouter one.

How much was a stock replacement? The stouter one that steeda offers is $119.00. Any other prices?

This happens more often than you may think...kinda weird if you ask me, but it's not uncommon for them to break.

some of the older ones are 3 piece bars and also some of the early larger rear bars are hollow.

The new part offerd by ford which is a 27mm (98 cobra) solid bar is around $95. I have had no problems with my set up. Or you could just get a GT replacement.

Snapped mine right by the mounting holes. I put upper and lower ca's on so I really don't need the sway bar anymore.

Unless you have severe bushing bind in your new control arms there is a night and day difference without a sway bar.
