thanks guys.

anysuggestions on what ones i should replace them with? 50resto has a handful and i have no idea which ones would be best. im going to have the ford dealership put them in for me, they said they would install them for 100$

Best way to tell if motor mount specially driverside mount is broken would be to start engine and stand on brake while you try to go forward. Have a friend look at engine. Obviously have your hood open. If engine lifts a lot then driver side mount is gone.

they looked checked for sure, but broken:shrug: .

86bluecobra and Aryan15 both suggested some of the best ways to make sure there broken before you repalce them.

ill check the motor movment with the brakes tomorrow if i can, i know the fan doesnt hit the shroud. what does checked mean? becuase either way the cracks seem very bad, and it would make sense to fix them now

checked means.. the possibly of being rotted but not separated.
you know like when a tire sets for yrs and you see all the cracks on a tire and you wonder how its still holding air.

Just don't buy the conv. mounts from CJ Pony or Napa. I just had to send both of the drivers side(left) motor mounts back. Neither one of them would fit. There is an issue with the side closest to the oil filter. The mount hits against the block before you can line up the bolt hole.

I knew one of mine was shot when I kept hearing a sound of something hitting something under the hood. When I hit the throttle you could see the engine torque to one side and when it came back down on the other it hit something, can't remember what. Replace them with the polyurethane ones and you won't have this problem again. From what I remember the price difference between the stock ones and polys were too close to not do it. Did not feel any difference in harshness on the road.

45 minutes? are they really that easy to change? all i have that i could do this with is 2 old jack stands and a 1.5 ton floor jack.... the most technically challenged engine work i have ever done is installing headers on a 94 gt... but that was simple.
