So I've been waiting to go to Street Night at the NED for the longest time.

I get up there and my passanger window doesnt go up. Its been having this problem for a while but multiple clickings on the passanger side window ended up engaging it in the past. Tonight I had no luck.

I had to drive the whole way home. Two hours up and hour and a half back pissed off beyond belief.

Someone help me out and tell me what to do. What do I need?

I took the inside of the door off, aswell as the plastic protective sheet (which I guess I'll have to replace now?)
Its stuck down and I couldnt be more dissapointed with my car, what do I do?

I cant even get f-ed up because I quit drinking-this is my only stress reliever and its always breaking on me and making my life worse and taking all my money.

So these big ass motors come out through my speaker holes?

What if my window is stuck all of the way down?

You will be able to pust it up with your hands, since those pieces are broken and wont cause any resistance..GET A HELPER so the window doesnt break

mine does this sometimes. the way i usually get it up is to drive over a speed bump at a good speed and hold the up button on the pass side. if that dont, then u will have to do some work on the window

Where can I buy the plastic grommet piece? I called the local Ford dealership, they said I have to buy the whole $180 window motor assembly (and I need two).
Where to shop please help!

Try Here:

The technical name is "torque pins".. My Mechanic sells them for about $5. Try a private shop and ask for them.. SOmetimes they are in the HELP section in the auto stores.

Has anyone used the screws instead of replacing the plastic POS?
Sounds like I could do that and be done with this disaster.

EDIT: RC I tried those links, the first may work but the second is like 2yrs old (damn it)
Im pulling both motors tomorrow to see what their guts look like. Im hoping for sheered plastic bits.

I would like to know more about using the screw bits (like one of the guys running a t-bird did in your second link-he did that and said the problem was solved)

When you have taken out the motor and opened the cover, should you be able to spin the gear freely? (clockwise or counterclockwise) I try to turn it but it turns about 1/8 of the way and stops. Is this a sign that the motors bad or would I need new bushings. My motor looks like nothing in the linked forum above. There are no chewed up pieces anywhere. Thanks fellas

If anyone contemplates using metal in lieu of the bushings, one word of caution. The bushings are sacrificial. If you have little kids or friends that are missing chromosomes, the bushings will keep hands and fingers from getting broken if left between the window and car frame.

The OEM bushings last for 10 years or so - I'd opt to just replace them again (they will likely outlast the window motors).
