Hey all It's been a while since I've been on this forum I have been over at the Tweecer Site for a while. Anyway, I have broken my 3rd rocker stud on my TF trackheat heads. It happens on both exh and intake valves and is very random.
The first one was over a year ago and I was on the throttle (5-6K RPM) when it broke so I chalked it up to that. The second one was about 2 months ago while I was tuning it with Tweecer and it was running like Shibitz!! (pinging, rich etc...), I was running it normal driving when it broke. So I chalked it up maybe the eng caughed or backfired and slapped the valve???
This time the car is running great (like OEM) for a while now, I was just driving very light and another one broke??? I have 7/16th studs, TF 1.7:1 RR with a TF stage 1 cam and TF pushrods # 6.750 080 with stock pistons.
Any Ideas??? Can pinging cause this to happen?? I do have some ping which I am trying to tune out with the Tweecer. Maybe I am adjusting them wrong?? I use the method on the Crane cams website??
