well im seriously thinking about the flat now wish that idea was pointed towards me before i did my jams or i would of done a flat black. here is my interior mostly put back together running some wires make fun of my work but im satisfied

waiting to get some things for the rest of the interior but will be later on (such as a rear seat delete kit)
but i decided to go ahead and start tearing the motor down just to see whats inside and ill be cleaning up the bay and the motor. but of course i cant smooth the bay because of no welding skills so im gonna try and make it as clean as possible here is a pic of what i got so far ill have some more tomorrow dont ask about the blue wires stupid PO.

thanks to LRS, you dont need welding skills to smooth the bay anymore. When my motor comes out, this is the method ill be using.

well yes, but not nearly the welding skill needed to smooth a bay.

You can pop rivet these in: Aluminum Engine Bay Panels, Rear Seat Deletes, Door Panels, and more for your Mustang and there are full fiberglass ones but I can't remember where I saw them, it is a very famous mustang parts place but I just can't remember, someone on the corral asked if the were still around, that's how I stumbled on them.

By the way, you can get a small mig welder w/flux core wire for dirt cheap on Harbor Freight that will do the job.

just browsed the thread and saw you were thinking about fiberglass in the floors. Weekend Warrior and Fiberglass floor pans arent gonna work.
Especially with any type of decent power. I would get the metal and have someone weld it.

its gonna be temp but it has help up good so far.
and i guess i shouldnt of said weekend warrior more like weekend cruiser!

so bummed i put everything back together no start i got fuel. but when i put my spark tester on the plugs it blinks slow with a strong turn over it blinks alot at the distributor from the coil and the coil blinks alot also any ideas? im thinking timing is off but i marked it as i was told

i just sent a email to that aluminum engine bay dude. I hope his shipping is not alot then i'll get it.

$130 ain't bad considering how long it would take to weld up all the holes. plus it looks trick. must be lighter than steel too.

sorry this car has been gone since july i did get it running though ran like a champ i had to do the top dead center thing and she started right up but yea i got rid of the car because my wife cant work do to having to many credit hours in college so she has no time but now i got a 93 mustang gt that needs nothing so if the mods wanna delete this go for it

Its very tough to glass over metal but just a suggestion if you dont weld buy some cheap sheet metal cut the floor pans out drill some bolt holes bolt with a flat top flush bolts and epoxy the the seem around the edges cheap budget fix

This would be terrible advice if the OP was even around, and even had the car to consider this.
I've had to deal with far too many hacked in repairs where the "fix" did more damage than the original problem.
Hack is hack. It's never a fix, and shouldn't be considered as such.
