This would be terrible advice if the OP was even around, and even had the car to consider this.
I've had to deal with far too many hacked in repairs where the "fix" did more damage than the original problem.
Hack is hack. It's never a fix, and shouldn't be considered as such.

Yes you are right it probably was bad advice so if as such my apologies,i myself dont do hack jobs so it probably wasnt a good idea to suggest him to do such
