as the title says i'm planning on buying a nice buffer to give my car that show quality shine as well as take the yellow off my headlights. anyways, i'm hoping not to spend more than $100, but i doubt you can buy a nice one for less than $50.

Get the porter Cable 7424. Check autopia.org, properautocare.com for details. You'll be very happy, I promise.

I bought a Craftsman 11" random/orbital buffer from Sears.($100) I have no experience with an electric buffer on cars. I was using it to polish billiard balls, Anyway, I used it for the first time last week on a brand new Audi. The hood looked like someone rubbed it with 00 steel wool. I poured some Liquid Glass onto the bonnet and went for it. The sections I polished(used the buffer to apply & remove the polish)) looked like the car just came out of the showroom.A good random/orbital buffer has clutches that will slip if too much pressure is applied. Sort of a safety valve. Sears has sales every other week. If you buy a Craftsman..get the 11" top of the line model.I'm happy with mine.I got great results having no experience..Beautiful finish..no swirl marks. Good luck whatever you purchase..buy a good one.It will serve you well for years.
