Are there any good write ups on how to buff out scratches? I have a couple of surface scratches I want removed but all the shops I take it too tell me just to buff it out.. I never used a buffer and would honestly rather pay professionals to do it.. no one wants too tho! So i guess i'm going to have to take a stab at it myself.

I've had good luck with Zaino Z-PC either by hand or with a buffer.

That stuff wont take scratches out, you gotta carefully wet sand with 1500 til the scratch is gone and then 2000. Then hit it with a buffer LIGHTLY since your a newbie with rubbing compound, then with a swirl remover, then wax it.

It took out quite a few scratches in my wife's black suv. They weren't that deep, but it does in fact take out scratches.
I wonder what the TS means by surface scratches? If they don't catch your fingernail, I'd go with my advice.
