I had accidentally gotten paint on one of my headlights. Tried to use some thinner to wipe it off....and it left scratches!

They are very fine scratches....I think because I used a shop cloth instead of a microfiber or something. :fuss:

Any way to buff out these scratches??

You may not have to get this involved, but it WILL work. Wet sand w/high-grit sandpaper, then buff out on a rotary with Meguiars Plastix. I do that when necessary to my G35's headlights, though I never had to touch the ones on the Mustang.

Yeah dont feel bad, i got brake cleaner on my smoked headlights and didnt know it. Look horrible the next day, I had to take 1000 grit sand paper to sand the discolor off, then i used 2000 grit to clear up the scratches and it came out perfect!!!! So worst case screnario this is what you can do!!

Thanks all! I will try the polish stuff first. If that does not work, I will break out the sandpaper and my rotary. I gotta buff and wax the whole car next week anyway before a big car show. I couldn't believe how easy they scratched!
