I don't know, I wash my car every day. I would guess some Bug and Tar remover wouldn't hurt.

Don't let them roast on your car for a few weeks and then try to clean it afterwards. The longer they sit, the harder they are to get off and more likely they'll eat your clear. Don't wash it everyday, but try to wash it regularly.

Buy one of those car washing pads that has the microfiber tassles on one side and the nylon yellow on the other side. Believe it or not but that yellow nylon scrubbing side is the trick. It takes a little elbow but it works. You only have a 3 or 4 day window before they start to get baked on then you are screwed. Its love bug season here and there aint any good enough soap for this. Use the nylon.

+1 for what The Fang said.
Keeping some good polish on the car will definitely help, but you can't let them sit there for long. Bug and Tar remover didn't do squat on my wife's Escape after our vacation trip. I didn't think the splattered bugs were left on the car that long, but I was proven wrong when we did wash it a few days later.

I forgot to mention that. I use Ice and have compared an area with it and without and it makes a big difference. Bird stuff stains and bugs come right off.

use Bug-B-Gone. It works awesome on about anything. I mix some into my bucket of soapy water to wash my car by hang, or spray it on your car when its dry at the car wash, and then use the hi-pressure. It works great. It also does awesome on dirty wheels that get brake dust on them.

I may try that on the wife's car, as nothing else worked.

I haven't seen that product. Where did you purchase it at?

Getting the bugs off is much harder the first time...If you have a local Harley Davidson dealership nearby check and see if they carry a product called "bugslide". I detail cars and have found this to a great product. Also check out We Are Car Care -- Car Wax, Car Polish, Auto Detailing Supplies, Car Buffers & Car Accessories Store and order a couple of bug sponges. If you get the sponges from autogeek they look as though they will kill your paint but used with a good sudsing soap, they will not hurt the paint. Apply the bugslide liberly and let sit for a minute or two then take the soapy bug sponge and lightly scrub them off, but keep the sponge soapy. A last resort is to clean them as well as you can and then use a cleaning wax or swirl remover to get them off. This works best if you have a rotary or a PC 7424. After you get the bugs off keep a good coat of a carnuba wax on the front of the car and other painted areas that catch the bugs and they will come off much easier the next time. Hope this helps.

I used to use Bug B Gone years and years ago. It worked really well. Like mentioned before, if you keep the car waxed well enough, most everything is simple to remove (as long as it doesn't sit for weeks). I drive my car a lot on the highway and gets quite messy on the front from bugs, yet have no problems removing them Clay bar and polishing compound will remove the bugs and tar. Once you've done that, just keep a good coat of wax on the car and use a quality detailer frequently and you should have little to no worries

I always get bug-b-gone at my local mom and pop autoparts store, or at my nearest oriellys. I think wal-mart even carries it. Im sure it's cheaper there, but id rather buy elsewhere

I keep a detail bag in the trunk with spray detailer and a spray bottle of water. Once I reach my destination after being on the freeway and getting hit with bugs, I spray the front down with water, including the windshield, and wipe them off with a damp towel. I usually try to finish it off with some spray detailer if I have time and my wife isn't in a hurry, although she is pretty understanding of the pains I go through to keep my vehicles looking good all the time.
