Ok I have a few questions for the pro's. I am building a 94 mustang GT I just want to know what everyone thinks about the set up im looking at. I am going with gt40 heads trickflow cam with a good lob aluminum under drive pulleys long tube headers with 2 1/2" exhaut going to 40 series 30# injectors 70mm throttle body and a msd inginition. now I am wondering what to do about the intakes? I also am uning a 5 speed out f a 3.8 and was wondering what to do about the automatic computer? I was thinking trickflow but was wondering if I could get away with a cheaper lower cobra intake and a upper trick flow that would still produce good power and air induction. I am also forging the bottom end for later supercharging so keep that in mind also. If you think I should change anything then let me know.

i may be wrong, but i do not think the cobra lower intake and the trick flow upper will match up? i would just running matching upper/lowers. trick flow is a good bang for ur buck.

you have the right idea. If your using gt-40 heads dont expect more than 260~ RWHP....they just dont flow good compared to Trickflow or AFR heads.

Alot of people have had good luck with the trickflow stage 1 cam in similar setups.

You cant match the cobra, edlebrock and trickflow...the holes are simply round to square.

If your going to run gt-40 heads, a cobra intake setup would be fine, but I prefur the edlebrock, holly systemax, or Trickflow intakes because they flow better.

Im pretty sure that the computer wont care if the auto isnt there,,,,,but you should wait for someone who has done a swap to chime in.

YOU would be FINE with 19lb(stock) injectors if your staying NA, however keep in mind that if you do buy the 30lb injectors for later supercharging, plan to tune your car somehow..... dropping 30's in will cause the car to run WAYY rich, and even if you buy a calibrated MAF, that really isnt the best way to lean the injectors...you will have some bad drivability issues.

When you run injectors that are too big for the car, the duty cycle is reduced which makes it run less smoothly. Injectors are easy to change down the road.

As for the Tranny... I swapped an automatic on my old 94. After I put the 5 speed in I was feeling some strange jerks from the car. Took the computer in to Autozone and got a direct replacement for a manual. After that, everything ran super smooth and I think I spent less than $120. I also put 3:73 gears in which helped also. Hope that helps.

The Trick flow Upper and the Cobra lower wont match up, the port holes are a completely different pattern. If you want to run an Trick Flow intake the best power for your money would also be to run Trick Flow heads.
