Building new motor, any suggestions on what to build?

I had a bone stock 302, to make a long story short I blew it. Now I'm going to build a new one. I want to build something that will get up and go, but i want to do it cost effectivly. I would really like to go all out with a stroker kit, bad ass heads, etc. but dont have the funds. Any ideas guys on what i should build?

What blew? Start with a DSS 306 and go from there. If your broke as hell you could try finding one out of a 5.0 Explorer. That would be a decent upgrade.

if you don't have the funds then it's gonna be sort of hard. how much are you limited at spending?

get another stock 5.0 and put nitrous on it. youll still have the reliable car and have the power when you need it. Of course this is a biased opinion from past heating experiences. Its not worth it.
