So I found a new Ford 302 long block hiding in a neighbor's garage and I want to slam it in soon. Obviously I'm trying to get the best combo possible but I have some questions. The list so far:
Ported gt-40ps
P specific shorties
Cobra Intake (lower ported)
Roller rockers (1.7s or 1.6s, don't know?)
Cam (or should I degree the stocker?)
Some new ignition goodies
So my questions are as follows. Which rockers should I use. So many people post conflicting info on the size of the rockers. From what I gather in the other threads it all depends on the cam. Is that correct? That segues nicely into my next question. Will the stock cam be a good idea. I've seen Thumper advocating degreeing the stock cam and tuning from there. Others love tfs cams, and others love others. All the conflicting information is making my head spin.
FYI: my mods so far, which will be going on to the new build are 73 mm MAF, 70 mm Tbody, 24lb injectors (once again don't ask), Cobra Intake, AFPR, Catted H pipe, flows. Thanks for any clarity anyone can bring to my situation.
