One of my buddys just started dating a girl with a 99-04 6cyl convertable and I was wondering if anyone could give any insite to what bulbs, and what you need to do to change the bulbs in the HVAC controls?

you are going to have to pop out the trim ring, pull out the upper two vents, there are 4 bolts around the hvac panel, remove that and on the back there are 194 size bulbs on the back, they are in interesting an interesting base

if its an 01 and newer then taking the radio bezel off is easy...take the shifter bezel off (it just snaps on and off) then take the radio bezel off (again it just snaps on and off)

if its a 99-00 then its a bit harder. again snap out the shifter bezel, now you need to take the radio/tape deck out. then there are 4 screws holding the radio bezel, 2 under the radio and 2 in the back where the plastic "brace" arm secures in the dash. those come out as well (you will probably need to pull the cd player as well, or unplug it at the very least)

then there are 4 screws holding the hvac controls in...and yes it is a 194 bulb there are 2 in the panel.
