I had an OEM bullit shifter but I got rid of it fast. My hand froze to it in the winter, and it was burning hot in the summer.

Shift knob.

I believe the bullitt/mach 1/35th anniversary shift knobs are exactly the same. Heres mine.

I dont drive it in the winter, but it does get rather warm in the summer. Its not bad, but if it bothers you there are gaskets for sale that should help this a little. I love my shifter, enough that i will probably keep it on when i swap to my six speed. unless i find one just like it with the six-gear diagram.

I just ditched my fatknob in favor of the OEM knob which doesn't look as cool, but it's 10X more comfortable and easier to 'handle'!

Be careful of the Bullitt shift knobs that are sold on ebay.

Example:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...tem=7943350282&category=33703&sspagename=WDVW

There are many replica's, and this one is smaller than the real Bullitt shift knob. It doesn't feel as nice because the actual ball is smaller in your hand. I have it, it is fine (good quality, good weight, looks great), but if I were to buy one again, I would get the real thing (just for the slightly bigger size).

I have always wanted either the bullit shift knob, or this one:

in this pic it looks kinda raunchy, like aligator skin or something. . . bleck. . . but think if that wierd plastic was a nice rubber or something, Ive been looking for a nice shift knob that looks similar to this one.

For christmas instead of a bullit shifter my dad accidentally got the billet shifter. . . but oh well, I aint complaining. . . this is the one I have-

on the website for the fat shift nobs, it says theres a shorter throw. . . who agrees?

I have a 35th anniversary knob (AKA Bullitt knob) and I love the feel. It get VERY hot when I park the car in the sun since it is solid metal and conducts the heat to your hand rapidly. It does not get hot from the heat from the tranny. If you can put up with this, I recommend it. I like the fact that it's a real Ford product.

I love that steeda knob, but in the mags I cant be sure if I would be ordering the wrong one.Does anyone have a part number or link to where I can buy one...maybe I will try steeda LOL.And how is the grip, see I have a problem with twisting the stock knob when I shift to second and I am hoping that this knob will do the trick...Um anyone have this problem or know if it will get rid of the knob twist? Thanks
