bullitt satin shift knob pics?

If you want the Bullitt-35th Anniv. knob, make sure you get the Ford original part.

My wife got me the Ford original part for Christmas the other year. Last year I tried to order one for my dad's GT from a big Mustang parts supplier. They assured me it was the Ford original part, but when I got it, the finish just was too shiny and the shift pattern wasn't etched as nicely. Not bad if you've never seen the Ford original before, but side by side there's no comparison (I returned the bogus part for a refund).

Everything you read about the knob being too hot in summer or too cold in winter is true. For winter, though, I got myself a pair of open-knuckle black leather driving gloves so not only is that problem gone but I get to pretend I am James Bond

Yeah thats one of those bulky shift knobs. I forget what company makes them, maybe MC? I dont remember...

those are the fat knobs, posted earlier. . . right?

does anyone believe them when they say they give you a shorter throw?

I have that satin steeda shift knob with the rubber grip on it. It's a good piece, but the rubber ends up making your hands black. Make sure to get an extra rubber piece when ordering.

After 5+ years, I still have the "35th Limited"(35th was made before the Bullitt) knob that came in my car. It get cold in winter and hot in summer, but so what? It looks great.

I personally like the 05 shift knob. Although I dont know how that would look in our years.

Well it does screw down pretty far onto the handle...is that maybe what they are referring to? They are quality pieces. Mine is the reverse of mcmmotorsports, black with white shift pattern. The hole has a threaded brass insert but the lock nut on mine is much thinner than MCM's, so the boot butts right up against the knob.

That's not an OEM Ford Mach 1 shifter ball. It's a knock-off. I think it's a UPR peice. The script for the shift pattern is different plus the OEM knob only comes in satin..there is no polished option like those knobs.

My OEM knob doesn't get too hot in the summer. I've gone on long drives and left it in 100 degree heat for a long time and it never really gets too toasty. It's been cold this winter, but after a few shifts, i don't mind
