bumpsteer question

Ok so first off right now I have some H&R supersport springs, kyb shocks and struts, mm caster/camber kit, aluminum steering rack bushings, and if it matters cobra 13” brakes. Sitting in my garage I have some brand new X2 balljoints, and 03 cobra spindles and hubs. I will also be buying new urethane bushings for the front control arms.

Now my question is, should I buy adjustable tie rod ends (bumpsteer kit)? I’ve read that there is more to just bolting on the tie-rods and they need to be set up right which I can do so I’m not worried about that. The thing is, do I really need them with the newer spindles that have the straight steering arm compared to mine with the curved ones? Any ideas or opinions are welcome. I take my car on the track a few times a year and post in here with this question because you guys seem to be very knowledgeable on this type of stuff. Thanks

Yeah thats kinda what I thought. Pretty sure I already have a bit of bumpsteer. Heard that maybe with the newer spindles though you may not need the bumpsteer kit? Dosen't seem right though....

i have no first hand experience with newer spindles, so i cannot confirm any such allegations. for it to be true the tie rod attach point would have to be lower than on our spindles.

as for all the fancy adjustment for the bumpsteer kit, the ghetto way to do it is to just make sure that the tie rods are nice and level when the suspension is at normal ride height. it just takes a bit of time to make the adjustment, then lower the car and check it out.

sweet i'll probably end up getting it then. Looking at my wheels, they are the +24mm offset replica saleens with 265s in front, they look even with the fenders now. 8mm further out with the newer spindles might not look right......
