So I'm sitting at a traffic light and I think to myself is that smoke from under my hood? Nah, probably just exhaust from the car in front of me. As I cross the intersection there is the distict smell of electrical stuff burning. Shoot I better pull over, I'm about .25 mile from home so I pull over, open the hood, SMOKED . Turned out to be the fan motor, put a new one in and it's fine. Scary situation though.

Same exact thing happened to me on the first day of college about 3 weeks ago.

The little plastic/rubber sheith that goes around part of the o2 sensor wires fell onto one of my converters.

Thought my car was almost on fire, had it towed home. I felt like a douch when I found what the problem was, yet im very very glad thats all it was.
