I have attempted, badly and without success, to do a decent burn out- I have had advice to start in second, rev to about 4K, then switch from clutch to brake! It doesn't seem to work too well- anyone have any advice about how to do a proper and effective burn out??

^^^^^^^^

2nd gear if you have a waterbox(at the track)....

EASE on the brake pedal...just enough pressure to bring the car to a stop

I actually just learned myself how to do breakstands. I do the heel to combo. I find that more comfortable because my foot just felt wrong braking with my left foot. So i talked to someone else about another way to do it. He said try the heel toe. I tried it on a dark road late one night by myself. Put it in 1st, put my heel on the corner of the brake and toe on the top of the gas peddle, you can revv it steady at like 2k and dump the clutch. You feel your ass pick up and you just sit there and even revv it while spinning. I recommend trying on a rainy day to get the mechanics down, that way you wont burn the clutch too much if you mess up. Sorry for the novel
