whats the fastest youve gone spinning the tires? I took a friend the other day and went from 5th to 3rd and about put it in the ditch going 65mph!! LOL laid stripes as well I couldnt believe it till i saw the faint marks, so i want to know at what speed you can melt em down or from a roll spin em!! :SNSign:
i will be getting the gas soon and I want to spin at 100mph with crappy tires on the back LOL its crazy But its gonna happen, then ill put the dr's on and dead hook and leave!!

Yes I will bet loads of money. Which car? I know not your dads 86. my vert is much more modified and I couldn't get it to spin past 40 in second with these tires:

And I want a video from behind showing an angle of the speedo as well, but no F***in way can ANY of your cars spin past 85 mph like you said the speedos go to.

Dump the clutch at 5,000 rpm in 4th on wet pavement it will :d dry..the 86 will spin em till it his 65 on the speedo... which is 55 ...(speedo is 10MPH off from the 4.10)

...if you REALLY want to spin buy some E singma's...they suck balls.

(this was with the E sigma's on the rear when he had the 10 holes... if you dont belive me go buy yourself a set there like 79 or 89 a piece and they just plain suck...

supercoupe will do i to 40 or so from a dead stop if you puch it...and my 88 idk ill get back to you....

either way the 85 MPH speedo sucks..

btw if i put a 140MPH speedo in my car is there anything else i need to do?

I think yuo guys have the wrong idea of spinning tires at high speeds... Get going, on a nice flat dry clean road. Get to 65 mph NO rev and just floor it. If it doesnt lay a strip down or get rear happy, your NOT spinning the tires at 65 mph. My friends 604 rwhp Slaeen/Cobra (1 of 2 made the way it is) will do this, as well as a few other friends cars... A 200-300 rwhp car doesnt have the power to do so, and if by some fluke you do it, with a one wheel peel, on wet ground going up a hill, thats hardly something to brag about, my 4 cyl does this until halfway thru 3rd when it bogs down!

Yeah I am talking about spnning them up to 60 from a spinning start or just down shifting and flooring, no wet pavement ryan, my buick would spin if I floored it in the rain at 50... :duh:

100 kmh (60 MPH) with my turbo, dry cement obviously down shifted , cause i don't think it would do it in 5th lol, i think i went down to 3rd let the revs sit for a second (to be nice to my tranny) then i mashed the gas and i spun them to about 65 then it hooked up.

LOL at the wet cement, i can do that in my damn ranger and its a 4.0 6 cyl lol

I meant no revving, the downshift as being the only thing to aid in spinnage, no rain unless your goin 100+

ps: beast i might get some different heads soon, im parkin the 86 and working on it for a few, so if you want a cam and heads let me k.

I want videos of said cars going 65 mph, then hitting it, and almost going into a ditch. Unless youre making TONS of power, on dry good roads 95% of cars will not break the tires loose to the point of almost crashing...

Agreed.

This is possibly the most rediculous thread I have ever read on SN.

you wont really be able to tell because when the tires are "burning" they are spinning faster then they are if they had traction, so your speedo will be saying your going faster then you are.
