Here it is illegal to do a burnout on private property. I (years ago) did a burn out in my 86GT in our work parking lot and a cop was driving by, turned around drove thru the parking lot (cop) like he was being chased by the Terminator, stopped my and wrote me a wreckless driving ticket. 6Pts and a $385.00 fine. I moved 3-feet. Now he drove like he did thru a bunch of parking spaces and yelled @ me for wreckless driving. He stated that on private property he can only site me for DUI or wreckless driving. Luckly for me, we know the guys @ the city garage and they spoke up for me. We work on some of there cars......... ticket was dropped.... woohoo....
That doesn't apply to his driveway though. If he put up a nice little sign that says private property do not enter, or something like that, he is safe. Your parking lot is property that is open to the public and his driveway would clearly be labeled otherwise.
so could you put up a sign that says "don't look", and then sprawl out naked on that same driveway and still be ok?????
just because it's private property, doesn't mean that illegal acts are no longer illegal........
you are no longer endangering other people or other peoples' property. the visual part has nothing to do with the law, whereas the law against public nudity is all about visuals.

ok well i don't know what the laws are like in the states, but i can guarantee that it is illegal here. if you peel out, or do a burnout here, you can get charged with stunting, which is considered pretty serious. (i know the hard way) is stunting is legal there??? so are you saying it would be legal to get wasted, jump in your car thats in your driveway, and rev the **** out of your car? cuz up here, you would get charged with an impaired. i'm just not following your reasoning.
i can also guarantee that you would be violating noise bylaws, which makes it illegal in another aspect.
Sorry I wasn't clear. You get ticketed for reckless driving because it endangers others. The law for reckless driving has nothing to do with the visual aspect. The nudity thing was a bad example.
A person shall be guilty of reckless driving who operates any motor vehicle at a speed or in a manner so as to endanger the life, limb, or property of any person:
1. On any driveway or premises of a church, school, recreational facility, or business property open to the public; or
2. On the premises of any industrial establishment providing parking space for customers, patrons, or employees; or....
