Fellow stangnetters-

When dealing with CJ PONY PARTS, beware-especially when you make a purchase, It seems they "lie" about the shipping courier services..I aksed multiple times when speaking to Justin while making an order about will it go out UPS gorund.... he states-"YES".........
Then you call them back and ask them-for a tracking number and low and behold they cannot find one, they dont even know-what service they sent the package out!!!! What is that a Romper Room operation????- They tell you to call back, Its sent out US MAIL service!!!!!! WtFFFFFF!!!!! Obviosuly no one in that fuggN place pays attention to customers or there needs.... I stated explicity-I need the part before the weekend. I placed my order on monday, it is now thursday and still NOTHING!!!!!!!!!! I wouldve paid $10-$15 for a real shipping service, $$$ was not the issue, the service was...... Now-they got my $$$, I have no part because its lost witthin the USPS system.
My impression for the last 5 years when meeting them in Raceway park Swap meet tent is they are a cocky bunch, who thinks there is no other company that caters to the mustang crowd but them. Obviously-They are in for a rude awakening, 5.0 RESTO blows the doors off them. just unfortunate for me-They are located in texas and shipping takes 5 days UPS ground-whivch is why-i ordered from CJ Pony parts-being located in Pennsylvania, and im in New York. So shipping should only take no more than 2 days. there service sucks, whenever you call for a part-It needs to be orederd because-"Its not in stock" crap and when they do have the part-Its way overpriced and they screw your stuff up with lost packages or lack of information on the shipping 411 which left there warehouse.
i think they serioulsy need to get with it, hire some real customer service poeple and treat there customers like customers. I mean-They couldnt even find 411 on my package, or what service it was sent out-when i was told it was being shipped UPS GROUND..... So not only do they lie, they really dont know what is going on from within.
Guys-do yourself a favor and stay away, orderr from summit, jegs or 5.0 restor, mt. laurel mustangs anybody-but CJ PONY PARTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!
Anthony

I spoke to Justin, jeremy, Renee- and none of them had a clue what service my part was shipped out, logged in or anything. It took the young lady to find out by calling the post office. i mean-WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!! is there not an outgoing shipping log that most REAL companies utilize in that place. For the way they carry themselves in person (cocky) like know-it-alls, which the know **** from **** at ther tent @ the swap meet, They should be seriously shamed of themselves and hide there faces for having a kiddie operation, They cant find tracking 411 within there system inside there own company. Thumbs down- CJ PONY PARTS!!!!!!

If you call and want to place an order with them and a dude "Justin" answers- hang the phone up! That kid seems like he is on a permanent mental lunchbreak.

I know-me too. Just this time-The part i needed ford racing discontinued and 5.0 resto had it as well as CJ. thinking i live closer to PA than texas-I made the horroible mistake and went with CJ. All the companies you mention rock, i never had a prob either.........
but-yeah they truly do suck, i mean-when staff doesnt know or recall what shipping method they sent out your part-even with the reference number you supplied them with your name and 411. Thats really bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . that is when i knew i was in trouble yesterday, But still had hope to get it today.

I walk right on past their tent every year at Carlisle.......yeah, they suck.

Long story short, one day a few years ago I was wrenching on the stang for whatever reason that I can't even remember and noticed my positive battery cable terminal was corroding. It was a busy week for me, and I simply didn't make the time or effort to make a run the parts store to get a new one. CJ's does online orders and is about 1.5 hours away, so I figure it'll be here within a day. Place the order for a new Motorcraft cable and pay the over priced shipping charge but figure it's worth it. Cable does not arrive until about 3 weeks later. I was so mad that I said f-it, not dealing with them ever again. Oh yeah, I know all about the tracking.....basically they don't keep a record or give out any estimates of delivery.

dude-
that is insane!!!!!!!! Its very, very sad-How can they not have prode in there business. It seems like they are a pep boy operation. A few times i stopped in there tent. and the attitude you get when asking a question or the know it all mentality blew me away. Overly aggressive know-it-alls, funny thing-Im like this dude doesnt even know what he is talking about. I shouldve known better, and yup-im paying for it now. Sad to say. But my experinece can help someone not to get themsleves into this mess, i am in-Good for them, something positive will come out of it.

Sorry to hear about your negative experiences with CJ's. I had them install my engine, granted back in 2001 but i have had nothing but positive experiences with them back then. I had my car down there a month ago to get some things replaced, fixed, and ordered a couple parts and was satisfied with the work and customer service. Just like any other business some are satisfied while other are not.

Honestly- After this, They can go FUGG themselves. They are done in my book. As for Summit, Im ROYALTY to them and deal with no one else really. But FORD racing discontinued the damn part i needed and i was screwed, so that led me to CJ suck my ass parts!

I dealt with them four years ago, first they couldnt get my credit card numbers through for some reason... so we go that squared away. Then I finally got the package and I knew right away that it was the wrong item because the box was way too small to be a 5.0 coolant overflow tank, I think it was for a 4cyl. I opened it to be sure that it was the wrong one and then I called them. The guy kept asking me "How do you know its the wrong one?", "Are you sure it doesnt fit?", and I kept on telling him "it was for a 2.3 and the box is too small." So he cut me off mid sentence with a "...nevermind." after arguing back and forth and then he processed the return.

I had some shipping problems with 5.0 resto, but they dealt with them and did everything in their power to fix the situation. They are a class act through and through and I would never hesitate to purchase anything from them. Bryan has helped me with many purchases and everything gets to me when he says it will. Never dealt with CJ Pony parts and I haven't really seen a reason to. Their prices are higher also.

I've had minor issues with LMR where an item will be backordered and no one bothered to inform me. All in all though, I've had good dealings with them over the years but I've seen posts on Stangnet that weren't so flattering. Summit has been absolutely awesome with incredibly fast shipping times. I've ordered more parts from them than all the others and I just love how quick they are at getting the parts out. I did receive an incorrect item on one occassion. I ordered an x-pipe and received one for newer Mustangs. I wasn't happy about having to lug the thing to UPS but there was no hassle from Summit and they were quick to get the correct part to me. I never hesitate to recommend them. Never ordered from CJ Pony.

Same way i feel and told the customer service guy(Matt i think was his name) that also. Told them i'm sticking Latemodel from now on...like i should have done to begin with.

I absolutely HATE when a company charges me for a part that is backordered....and to top it all off, i had no idea it was backordered until some of my parts showed up! Look at the invoice to see that 2 items were on backorder and i'd be waiting a month to get them and i needed them asap!! Guess that email to them before i placed the order to see if all the parts were in stock was a total waste of time....and yes, i was told they were in stock!

Hundreds of transactions and thousands, upon thousands spent over the nearly 15yrs in this hobby and they were the ABSOLUTE worst to deal with by far!

I had a situation with cjs where I ordered a hood insulator from them paid way too much for it after about 3 weeks they sent me an email telling me that my card would not process. I was so pissed i told them to forget it went to ebay found the exact same part 30 bux cheaper in actual price and 30 bux cheaper on shipping. After it was all said and done Im glad that they were as incompetent as they were because the ebay insulator was at my front door 3 days after I paid for it and it was 60 bux cheaper.

I've ordered from them multiple times and havn't had a problem. Sometimes, I'll order something thats back ordered and it always shows up in a week or so. Ordered new tail lights after someone stole mine. They arrived cracked. They sent new ones asap, along with prepaid shipping to return the damaged ones. Couldn't have asked for better service in that situation. Maybe Ive just been lucky. I usually don't use 5.0 resto b/c their shipping rates are so high. By far the worst company I've ever dealt with is MAC. Headers didn't come close to fitting, driver side flange was out 1/2" from spec. I did end up getting new headers but at my $40 shipping expense
