I have only ordered a replacement gas tank off of them, and I had no complaints. But Latemodels customer service is 2nd to none!!! That place gets my business 1st everytime!!!! I dont care if it costs more!!
cj .. never again. ordered a part, new dash pad. back order for 4-6 weeks and everytime i followed up i got
a different answer as to when it would arrive. finally came but the kicker was i used a gift card + my amex for incidentals, charged all to my amex and my gift card. pist i was, no less than 5 telephone calls later over the span of a month i finally had to sic amex on them and dispute the charge. settled in less than a week. worthless company, not worth the trouble.
I'm not a CJ fan either but I don't really "air" out all the bad, I just don't use them. Mustangs unlimited like stated before really bites, they are local to me but have wronged me enough that I won't even go to a car show in thier parking lot. I have been doing a resto on my stang..driveline, suspension, brakes & body over the past few years and finishing up on the body now,so I have been buying plenty of parts to get a feel of who is who. here are my top picks..
LRS.. great service, decent parts but returned some of the off brand stuff I didn't like w/o any trouble.
PPI..Jim is a great guy, helped me out many times. good source for NOS
Fox body resto..also great service, found me some NOS stuff they didn't have listed, fast shipping.another good place to support.
I like to have a couple of good sources for parts so i use these guys. no problems yet with them.
I hope everyone realizes this thread is almost 2 years old. If you have laundry to air out, take it to the source, please.
