As for the ftp server, I would be willing to bet that it is hosted by the ipower hosting service as well. If not, well I doubt it would take long to...how should I put this...'explore' that particular server?

Depending on just how "bad" a man you may or may not be it could come to light that he not only has prOn but some seriously twisted and embarrassing stuff to boot. I was going to name a few categories but this thread would get locked. In fact we are already on the edge here fellas.

Hmmmm....didn't he just get engaged? Maybe his fiancee might want a few emails (sent directly from port 25 of course) that seem to come from our friend Cory that may or may not contain some of that incriminating pr0n you just found on his server....the mind reels at the possibilities.
You guys are on the verge of doing something fun and illegal. Best to let the complaints run their course before doing something that could make things worse.
Personally, I think it would be cool for a forum member or two to stop by the business and inquire into the status of that particular transaction. If this guy realizes that he may be in trouble for doing something illegal, and someone is personally interested in setting it right, then he is more likely to refund or ship the parts.
As a point of clarification, all that I, personally, have done thus far is within the confines of the legal system. I have not tread upon any personal or privacy related regulations.
Actually gaining unauthorized access to his systems, on the other hand, would be illegal and I am not suggesting that this be done. It would probably be easy, but again, I am NOT suggesting it.
The information that stallion98gt and I have provided above is more than sufficient to track this guy down without having to resort to illegal activities.

Not to go too OT but I thought I would throw in this little side note about PayPal and Credit Card Refunds.
You must file a complaint with PayPal and they must attempt to recover your funds BEFORE you file a charge back with your credit card company. You have 30 days from the time of purchase with PayPal to file a complaint and 60 days from the purchase date to file a charge back with your credit card.
If a charge back occurs from your credit card company and you didn't file a complaint with PayPal, PayPal has the right to take the amount for the charge back out of your checking account. Therefore, you are still screwed out of the money.
My example - I purchase a furniture set on ebay for $1600 from a furniture store located in TN. Paid with credit card via PayPal. Seller quoted 3-4 weeks for delivery, which seemed fair since most furniture stores take this long to deliver. Three weeks go by and nothing. After contacting the seller, she stated that there had been a fire and for the inconvinence I could choose a table set and everything would be shipped within the next week or so.
About two weeks go by and I get nothing. I contact PayPal and they tell me my 30 days are up and they really cannot do anything. So I tell them that I am going to get a charge back from my CC and the PayPal customer service person flat out tells me that if I do so, that they can go in and take the charge back amount out of my checking account. Therefore, I am still out my cash and PayPal loses nothing.
In the end, I got my money back via a charge back (I had all emails between me and the seller, and all other documentation. They charged it back ASAP). I got a nasty letter from PayPal stating that according to their TOS, I went ahead and got a charge back without going through the proper steps. However, they didn't take the money back. The seller is screwed. She F'd over a lot of people and since she was selling across state boundaries the FBI was required to get involved.
I would suggest that if anyone is using PayPal on a regular basis to open up a free checking account with only a minimal amount of cash in it and use that account strictly for PayPal.
Reminds me of a former stangnet chatter, that was going somewhere to buy some parts and took orders from everyone as to what he could buy for them. The way I remember it, he is gone, the money is gone and nobody got the parts because as he told it, they were buried in a barn after he moved.
