Can you explain why? I'm not in a position to buy a Tundra anytime soon, but when I get there, I'm stuck between a Tundra (don't like the looks of the new ones) and an F-150 (hate the looks of the new ones)
I work in a huge Toyota dealership. If it means anything to you, nobody that works here drives a Tundra. They all have full-sized Fords and Chevys.

Toyota is buying back a large number of their trucks for cracked frames?! Not rust, not rot, but actual cracks through the frame rails!!! I am not sure exactly what years and specific models, however. This is not a recall, Toyota is actually buying back the truck from the owner (who has owned the truck for 2 yrs or more) for 150% of market value!!!
I will be sticking with American made trucks, thank-you very much.
edit: After doing a little quick research, it is the 1995-2000 Tacoma that has the cracking frame problem. Still makes me extremely wary of Toyota as a brand, in whole. Their early trucks used to rot out in record time and now this?! Makes me wonder what is next...

Totally False! It is 1995 - 2000 Tacomas that Toyota has Extended the Warranty on for 15 Years for Rust on the Frame. Dana Corp the same Company that Makes the Frames for Ford and GM Trucks as well as Toyota shipped some out without adequate paint. Toyota is giving 1.5 Times KBB Retail Price for the Trucks and a Free Rental Vehicle, many Guys are getting Much more Money than they paid for their Trucks to start with, kinda nice for guys to have paid 10 grand for a used Truck, drive the wheels off and get a check for 18 Grand!

So everything I said was 100% accurate, except the frames are rusting and rotting not cracking?? How exactly is that 'Totally False!' ??
I stand by my assertion that Toyota trucks always have been, are, and always will be total junk! Love the Tundra, now we get a full size, overpriced tin can of a truck, that may run forever, as long as you dont mind rusted and rotting frames and bodies!
yes i test drove all the big 3 and didn't like them! neither did the wife! but we both love our new tundra! took delivery of it last night at 6pm ! haven't driven very far yet but will put some miles on it this weekend! its raining here right now but i will take some pics and post them later on! this is my first time buying anything but ford , gm or dodge! wasn't happy with my last ford at all! the only thing for makes that's is good is the mustang!!!!! so I'm willing to try my luck with Toyota!! for now! will keep it for 4 years , i will trade it in after that and if its a good truck i will buy another but if not ill look at the other ones again! but for now I'm trying something new!

I mean, who cares if a TRUCK can pull 10,000 pounds 0-60 faster than the next one? Who cares if you can drop the tailgate and watch it go down smoothly and slowly? Its all gimmicks. the tailgates break too. I beleive the big three have been building tailgates that work just fine since the 1900s.
I drove a tundra on their silly off road thing right outside the saint louis auto show. the frame creaked and groaned over their sweet course lol. Its the fox body method of chassis integrity. like...fox vert.
check those silver creek videos. GM has some cool videos too proving that their locker > toyotas traction control. which you cant turn off, i beleive. typical toyota. i think a sweet commerical would be to see a prius get stuck in the snow, then a tundra tries to pull the prius out and also gets stuck, and any of the big three come in with a real truck and pull both. Toyota. Cars for idiots.
