BUYING A 08 TOYOTA TUNDRA

I want to directly quote a Ford commercial...

They claim they JUST caught up to Toyota's quality. Yes out of Fords mouth they just claimed this year they caught up to Toyota (yes Toyota specifically) in quality.

So all brand loyalty aside, Ford feels they have been behind in quality up until now.

EDIT: oh yeah and as of now I own an F250 and a Mustang , never a single toyota.

im 5 years old, i do agree stang1995gt, they are sucking them dry, ever see how much money goes to them with ever car they sell kinda sickening.

OK once again you are wrong! and dont know what your talking about! unions are voted in by the workers the company has no say if they are in or out its up to the workers! Honda and Toyota dont have unions because they treat their workers well and pay them and provide them benefits better than or equal to the "BIG" 3 ! and when they sell a car the union gets no money from the company they get their money from the workers in the union for the collection of union dues that are payed BY THE WORKER NOT THE COMPANY! so there you have it ! know what you are shooting your mouth off about before you post! now the thread is about my new truck not unions so enough of the union **** cause your wrong pal i have been a union member of the C.A.W for the last 15 years and know a thing or two about unions!:Zip2:

or wait !!! ... MAYBE its because they dont make a truck that will pull more than 10,800lbs?? ya thats it! and by the looks of that trailer ... it looks like it will hold 3 race cars and all the tools and stuff they need to fix them! so i would think its safe to say that trailer is more then 10,800lbs? just my guess ! am i right? ???????????????

Actually Ford's new marketing campaign "drive one" is designed to get people just to LOOK at Ford. I don't remember any patriotism ads "real Americans buy Ford" or anything like that. Although I wouldn't mind seeing it. I'm glad that Ford is topping the quality awards, which forces the media to acknowledge that US companies can do something right if they put their minds to it.
I'm not going to sit here and say Ford and GM have been totally innocent all these years. For many years in the 70's and 80's their cars were crap. I know that. They were arrogantly churning out brand-engineered cars and expected people to line up for them. (Cadillac Cimmaron/Chevy Cavalier??) But they aren't any longer. Those days are gone, and it's time people let those 20 year old negative perceptions go too. I personally choose to back US companies because at least the money stays in the US. I would buy a GM product 10 times before I ever looked at a Toyota. In traffic, I make room for domestic brands to merge in front of me, but not for the ricers. I ignore their blinkers and let them squeeze in behind me. Hey, whatever I can do!

RED98 you sound like a brand loyal person who wont look at the whole picture. You buy Ford/Chevy/Dodge, all the money is going all over the place, same with any and all cars. I personally buy a car that is built well and does what I need it to do, I don't buy a name because of blind faith in something.

Now your on the highway acting like a total tool because someone has a foreign car? I sure hope this was a joke, because if not your quite the loser...

on the highway not making room for someone because of the type of car or truck they have ???? ya I'm thinking he is a loser! makes no sense to me that's just showing how much of an idiot that he is! you'd change your tune with a big truck trying to merge over! cause I'm the type who signals and trys to come over but after a bit i just get pissed cause some ass wont let me in and i come over anyway! hey i have insurance! lol I'm with 25th on this one ! red you suck! HA HA i just looked at his profile hes got a big V6 150hrsp monster! lol look out hes not gonna let the truck in with 381hrsp or the stang with over 400! lol

well after washing the sleds today and putting a coat of wax on them they are put away for the summer! i finally got at my mustang in the corner of my garage ! i jacked it up before starting it and drained all the old oil out of it! figured id do this since the lifters would have lost all the oil in them over the winter and all the old oil would be in the pan! so i drained it and filled her up the Castrol GTX synthetic! new oil filter , hooked up the battery and she fired right up no problems! ran her for about 5 Min's then covered her back up for a couple more weeks of sleep! just until May by then all the salt and sand should be off the road from the winter! then ill be able to drive it again! i miss driving it ! i think about selling it all winter... but then spring comes around and i start that thing up again for the first time and i suddenly change my mind again about selling it! LOL! i wonder why ?

That wont be for very long though as Toyota Bought into Isuzu/GM for Isuzus HD Diesel Truck Division.

I would NOT move for a truck, especially if it was trying to cut in front of me. It's one thing to say you'd keep on coming, but really you're full of s***. The only time I block a ricer is when they try to get ahead of me just because I'm in a red Mustang. (like if there's a mile of open road behind me but they insist on trying to get in front of me.) Sometimes what I'll do when there's a ricer that has really p ssed me off tailgating me is pace an 18 wheeler. Sure, the ricers flash their brights and roll less than a foot off my rear, but they don't hit me. I just tap my brakes and they back off, no matter how big they are. Only in special cases do I do that. Most times on the highway I live and let live.

Anyone who knows me from the V6 forums knows that no one laughs at my 3.8 engine more than I do, so you're not hurting my feelings by laughing at my car. Heck, I'll help you out. I took it to the track, you know what it ran in the 1/4? 16.8!! Next time I'll just walk, it'll be faster. When people in the V6 forums ask me what will make their 3.8 quick, I say "a for sale sign, then get a V8." But, when you're in college with rent and credit cards and mommy & daddy aren't paying the bills, you take what you can get. I used to have a white '88 5.0. (modified) But you know what? I'd rather drive an automatic STOCK 4-banger Mustang from the 70's or 80's than a brand new Toyota. Less shame involved.

And finally, "fastford91..." so you want to personally insult me, do you? Very well, then. I can play that game. Have I insulted you? Just because I am outspoken about not liking Toyotas? You were so anxious for people to comment on your new truck... Well, all righty then, I'll comment. Your truck is F'n hideous. I'd be ashamed to own it. It's a total POS. If I won it in a contest, I'd have a friend tape a for sale sign on it for me, so I wouldn't have to touch it myself, and sell the damn thing. Use the money on a new Ford. OK is that insulting enough? If you'd like to continue this back-and-forth slapfight, private message me. No reason everyone else has to read it.
