I am going to buy a 1994 or 1995 GT.

I have a few questions..

What were the differences between the two?
What is a good price range for either?
What is a decent mileage on them nowadays?
Any one trying to sell theres? lol

What I am led to believe is they come with 215hp and run a 15.0 in the 1/4 mile. I read a review on the 1994 and thats what they said on that. What is the cheapest way to get hp gain in your eyes too.

The only difference between the 94/95 apperance wise is the sideskirts are a little different.

About 6-8 months ago I paid $5900 for my vert with 94k on the clock in excelent condition.

Its really up the the buyer and seller to work out a price but some crazy people in Chicago here want upwards of 12-13g's for their 95's. So its just gonna take some time finding the right car.

The best I can get out of my vert is a 15.38 at 88mph in the quarter. This being with a 40mph headwind. I usually trap at 91.

Go for a H/C/I setup with a gear and you probably gonna be set. But everyone always wants more its just how much money you have to throw at the car that determines how fast its gonna go. Obviously driver skill takes a good part of it.

Btw, I live in Oklahoma so the economy may be different.

I was thinking about getting the following:

long tubes
cams
h pipe
2 chamber flows
intake
chip


Then from there get the exterior/interior to look better.

Well I definately don't want a red car, no offense but I really dislike red. Red would boost my insurance even more and I definately don't need that.

Thanks for your offer though. I am more interested in a silver/white.

i paid $4800 for mine, 72k on the clock and in pretty good condition... bone stock

but, if i were to do it again, i'd pay more for one that's in mint

oh and.,... the interior is a lot more comfortable than my old 87 GT vert

Wow sounds like you got a deal, did you buy it from a dealership?

Looks like it is in great condition at least from the pictures anyways. Mind telling me what is wrong with it?

it has vacuum leak or something, so it's not passing the sniffer, it's ok... i have until the end of march to find out what it is....

it was private party sale, the other thing i dont like is that the car was previously painted... engine bay doesn't quite match the outside

Someone told me red boosts your insurance.

Either way I dislike red, so it wont be on my car.

Its true, the color red, seems to mean race in insurance lingo, fact is darker colors are harder to see, so red, black, dark green, all bump you up a bit, white/silver considered easier to see, its all about stats for insurance companys. My winter beater is a white olds cutlass supreme sl, my neighbour has a red one, where about the same age, drive to same area of city to work, both married, clean driving records etc. he pays more differnt company differnt rate, same car!
IMO insurance on Mustangs is outragous for some of you guys, I don't drive mine all year round so it runs me about $700 full coverage for 6 months.
I was quoted $1400/yr for the stang, my wifes civic cost $1250/yr and its brand new, the beater is $1000/yr. The price I pay for living in the city, high accident area, and lots of theft.

I got my 94 CANARY YELLOW MUSTANG GT with 81k miles for $5500.

I am going to do all the boltons on my car first, then go into the motor and do a h/c/i swap and eventually I want a 347 stroker kit!!!

The color means absolutely nothing. I'm an insurance agent so I kinda know. A mustang can be any color (or any car can be any color) and it doens't affect the insurance. That's the funniest thing I"ve ever heard! It's amazing what rumors are out there. I'm suprised you guys actually believe that.

I also used to be a cop and I can tell you color doesn't matter in the chances of you getting pulled over. Ya know, like red sports cars get pulled over more than others (or so the "rumor" is said). Too many myths out there. I'd pull you over no matter what color.

You said it yourself. Not every company is going to have the same rates for the same people/car. The color of your car has nothing to do with rates, at least not my insurance company.

It would have been more for me if mine was red, I vividly remember talking to the insurance agent about that, wierd stuff. I also remember being quoted $8,000/yr from Geico and Progressive.

It's crazy how much the 94-95's drop in price, but the fox's don't change. When I bought my 95 in May 2000, most were going for more than 10k in Arizona. I remember the cheapest one I looked at was asking $9800 and it was in pretty bad shape. I felt I got a deal when I payed 11k for mine in perfect condition and 54k miles.
