buying a used gauge cluster

I am looking in to getting a replacement cluster for my 94' however the miles do not match up (duh!) is there a way to roll the counter forward on one to match the other? As always thanks in advance for all of the help.

I have not tried it, but it just seems to me that they would make it so this cant be done.

Its been done in the past (not by me though) so I'm sure you can figure it out if you crack it open. I would think it would be an issue of turning some gears once it was open.

In the old days, guys would use a drill or router to turn it back. These days I think the odo's are a bit more tamperproof (the gear cogs might freewheel or otherwise keep one from rolling the numbers back since they should never go backwards).

Just transfer the odometer from your original cluster to the new one.
