Due to my rim size of 10.5" some 285X tires dont fit the rim. So Im going to pick up 2 315x tires. I've had Drag radials in the past but they only last me about 8k miles. I was all set in buying the Eagle F1's ($279ea)but I like to spin the rear tires allot....so Im thinking of going with Sumitomo HTR Z @ $119 ea.

Is there a better 315x tire out there

Just get some normal street tires for everyday driving, and get some M/T's for the track.

what type of DRs did you have before? if you want DRs again, i would suggest the Nitto DRs. they seem to get a lot more miles out of them than other DRs. they also dont wear quite as fast as others even when leaving some rubber on the road.

I just put Eagle F1's 285/40ZR17's on my 10.5" rims and the fit perfect and look tough.

Is the tire protecting the rim? Do you have any pics? Thanks!

I ended up getting the sumotoes hrz whatevers for $119 from tirerack.

This set needs to last me the summer...so no more spinning them for me. Unless there are some hotties begging for it.
