so i have a ram air intake, o/r x pipe, and pypes violator catback.. My car idles a little rough, seems to be a little slugglish latley and now even with MIL eliminators my check engine light comes on.. Im hoping a tuner will help me with all this. I have a few questions though.. will i (myself) be able to tell my tuner what i have on my car and make a tune by my self? Or do i need to take it somewhere? And will i be able to turn off my back o2 sensors? also will it be able to check my engine light to tell me whats wrong with it if its not just the back o2's? Any help would be great.

If you buy the Tuner from American Muscle, all you have to do is fill out all performance parts on the car. They will set you up a tune that you download onto the computer.

Yes, you will be able to check the CEL.

The check engine light sounds like it has nothing to do with the o/r pipe. May have some fuel related issue.

You need to take it to autozone or somewhere to to get the codes pulled first and post back what the codes are , sounds like you have something else going on you might want to get fixed before buying a tuner , I am an SCT tuner and I can tell you that if your having the issues like you describe the tuner its not going to be a magic fix

Cars do not fix themselves. Get it checked out.

I have a tuner so it doesn't completely work in this case but it could be.. Got my car tuned with the tuner this weekend, took my car from the shop and drove about 5 miles and the check engine light came on, stayed on until I changed the 93 to 89 tune and it went away. I pulled codes from the first time and it was the 02 sensors, but I also need to add it came back. It could be this but like stated above the only way to be for sure is get to an autozone or get a tuner yourself.

Maybe intermittent missfire. You're codes history will tell you what it was even if the light goes out. Just don't clear your codes by disconnecting the battery. You should never clear your codes.
