by chance is an OEM 93 cobra clutch better than the regular OEMs??

also whats the correct way to break in a new clutch with a freshly resurfaced flywheel??

you break it in by not beating on you car for about 300 miles.

That would be a nice upgrade from the OEM Valeo clutch kit.

How much is the '93 Cobra Clutch?


For $200 you can get a King Cobra clutch. The pedal effort is like butter

I think a real Cobra clutch can be fount for $169 or so....maybe a little more. Try EBAY. Make sure its the real mc coy FMS King Cobra.

Even my new sitting in bos King Cobra clutch has Valeo written all over it.

Mike, Have you heard scuttlebutt that there are KC clutches out there that are not Valeo? I think I saw that on the Corral. I wondered if folks were confusing the SKC or something with the KC.

Cobra clutch is about 150 bucks.

Yeah, i think i read that thread. Then there was the thread about the T/O bearing that came with the KC kit being made of plastic and you should get another one. That's what made me open my box and check mine. My T/O was metal.


Then again, i've had my KC kit for about 2 years now. One of these days i'll finally do the 5-spd swap!
