The plastic part of my key is broken. Thinking about directly wiring fuel pump and coil pack. The stuff online seems all useless. This is my v6 1998 not the 351w.

Should just be a small pill sensor in the black part of your key, you can tape it to your ignition module close enough for the sensor to sense it and a regular key will work. I don't have any pictures but it's right behind the plastic cover behind your key ignition

Ended up costing me $200.00 with local locksmith for a new key. Maybe I can write this off my taxes, because I am using my mustang to carry tools for work. I will remove the key security when time allows. No one wants a old high mileage mustang that is being used as a tool truck.

I don't understand why this thread includes "(solved)" in the title?

Please say what the thought process is here.

Thanks!

I see no easy fix the anti theft is difficult to remove. Just removed the "Solved"
