What is the best size of belt to get to bypass the smog pump? This is on a 95 GT with stock setup. I have tried a 895k but it seems that sucker is just too short. Also, what is the best way to get this sucker on? I have tried running it through the pullies based on that pic posted, (
) held the tensioner back but it seems to need more belt. Meaning it seems the belt is too short. The original belt can easily be put back on. It seems as though it needs half a in longer.

The belt packaging listed 895k. Is there a such thing as a 89.7 or 89.9 , hell even 90?

The 90 was way to expensive for me. I run the 89.5 and the trick is to place it over all the pullys except leave the idler for the last. I used a flat head and work it up over the idler last. It is smooth where as the others are grooved. It makes it easier. The 90 is expensive becasue the belt is not mass produced for the auto industry. Only a handful of stock engines use it. The more expensive ones at that. It is like a $15.00 more price tag.

I think I was using an 86.7", but that was skipping the A/C also.

Don't bother...The a/c compressor is simply free-wheeling unless the a/c is on...
