what are the chances of them leaking on a street driven car? ive heard of them leaking and ive heard others say they dont. is it a given they will leak or is it the installers fault if they leak. id hate to have a leaking car, but i would really hate to have my wheel+axle fall off at the track. do they really leak, or not?

Mine don't leak but I drive real easy on the street unless I have a nice straight line. Lateral forces are what make them leak supposedly. I use RTV Ultra Black on them and never had a problem with them. I reseal probably annually.
