C&L intake with modded PCV system hose

I bought my C&L intake used, and it has a rubber hose where the PCV hose should be. What is up with this? I am guessing they did this for a reason... Maybe they somehow broke the previous PCV hose, and this was fabbed as a replacement. Is their any advantage to a wider PCV hose? Should I use my stock PCV hose instead?

I don't have the 'Racer' C&L, but my C&L 'Street' uses the OEM hose.

I have the RACER C&L and I have the same thing .. youll be fine Ive had mine on for about 4-5 months now ! and nothing !

oh okay, my bad. I guess I was looking at photos of the street system when I assumed it was a not from C&L like this. Thanks for the info!

I have a Steeda intake, and removed the PCV system for the drivers side, and replaced it with a simple push on miniature air filter. On the passenger side, I installed an oil separator in-line, to prevent oil from being sucked into the butterfly valve assembly. Its not PC nor will it pass inspection, but.....
