c&l to release lower intake in march

This is interesting but I'm not getting my hopes up... The upper showed more gains than I ever anticipated so maybe the lower will be less than we expect. That's what I'm fearful of anyways. Something also to consider is the heat soak factor of an all powdered-metal intake. Using cooling tricks at the track isn't much of a factor for most of us now but with this new lower it sure could be.

i already have the cnl upper so i'll probably go with the cnl lower because it should be cheaper to buy just the lower than the whole bbk intake. but if someone makes an intake and it makes alot more pwer than the cnl i would consider it.if the whole cnl intake makes 20 hp, than it's worth it to me because it will still be cheaper than the p-51 and have comparable gains

I also have the C&L upper and I'm pleased with it. The gains from it and the Accufab 75 TB are very impressive. So wouldn't you think that C&L would come thru again with its' new lower intake. I just hope it's reasonably priced like their upper plenum. I too thought about the factor of heat soak from a metal intake vs a plastic one. Once it's out there will probably be flame wars on which is better. This will end up turning into the metal vs plastic cai argument. No one likes the metal cai's but will buy a metal intake......

i'm thinking it will be between 5 and 7 hundred. the metal will be much stronger for those with power adders, or those thinking of adding one in the future. i'm sure it will flow alot better than the stock, otherwise it would be pointless besides the strength factor. i just think it will look alot better also

Well, believe it or not, there finally is an aftermarket 2V manifold that appears to be for the masses. I don't see any prices yet, and I didn't even find it on their website, but it is in their catalog - download it and see it on page 12. www.professional-products.com I've emailed them, requesting pricing and availability - I'll believe it when I see it. Looks promising though.
I first saw this in their ad in the April 06 issue of 5.0 Mustang and Super Ford mag.

Why would you be so quick to judge something you have never seen before?
Its well known that Professional Products is a Chinese Copy Cat Company. And it is also well known that Metal cast in China is not held to the same standard as in the USA so feel free to be the first to get his Inferior casted chinese aluminum intake. I'll hold out for an American made version. I've waited 10 yrs...I can wait another if I have to.
