Since Im C4 stupid, Ive been frustrated and pissed off looking at my setup for the past hour. I just bought a PA C4 with both a small and a large bell. My car is an ex-AOD car so Ive kept my 164 tooth flex plate and I purchased a precision industries stall converter with a 11 7/16 bolt pattern.

Now, my question is... Can I take the small bell off my C$ and put the large bell on and run it? it looks to me like the small and large bells have a different depth with the large bell being deeper by about 1". will this cause problems?

thanks for any help offered. Im in a bind and want me **** to be right the first time.

I swapped from an AOD to a c-4 and I had the large bellhousing. It worked fine with the starter and everything bolted up fine. Now I am haveing trouble shifting. Make sure not to put to much tranny fluid in. It is easier to add more than to drain a little off. Good luck. Also don't forget about the neutral safety switch bypass.

Bob, usually you wont kill a trans by adding too much fluid... especially if you only went around the block. More fluid creates air bubles in the system wich allows the clutches to run dry. it would take alot more driving the around the block to tear up a new set of clutches.
