C4 hard to get out of park

I have a C4 trans in my 92 mustang, and its hard to get out of park when on an incline. Sometimes I have to have somebody push on the car to take the load off the trans, then it will come out. When I'm on a level surface it is completely fine! This is with a B&M shifter. Any help is appreciated....Thanks!

Just the force on the parking pawl I think. All automatics I have ever driven are that way

Ya, way back we had a vert auto, on an incline it was important to put the parking brake on, before putting it in park.

Okay, Maybe I misworded it. Its nearly impossible to get it out of park while on an incline!
