I ended up purchasing a replacement shifter cable from Summit, which I got yesterday morning, but I haven’t had time to install it as of yet. I'll keep you guys updated. Thanks again.

New shifter cable installed!
Installation was a breeze, operation is smooth, and goes into all gears as intended. Note when I first decided to replace the cable, it was because I broke the eyelet off the end, near the shifter, however after removing the cable and installing the new one, I noticed that the red plastic coating around the cable was split at least three inches near the center of the cable causing binding, preventing me from shifting fully into park.

One more thing to note....
Remember all you went through to replace it. That plastic cover wil break again and again. I just recently got my mustang and when I got it, the plastic was broken all over the place. A buddy of mine said he went through those cables all the time.
On My latest one, I got a wire hanger and wound it around a screwdriver to create a spring like structure. I then wound it on that cable ans streatched it out a bit so the cable is reinforced where it makes the U turn back to the transmission. (I have a FMX so I have to hook it up backwards)
