C4 To Aod Swap In 67 Mustang

I'm considering swapping the C4 for either the AODE or 4R70W and was wondering if anyone on here has done the swap. Just trying to figure out what all I would need to do. I'm sure going to the electronic trans I would need a computer to control the shifting etc. Any info greatly appreciated.

the swap is fairly easy overall, but there are minor issues that need to be addressed. the first is the TV cable, which must be adjusted properly with a stock valve body AOD or you burn up the trans. if you do decide to go to an electronic controlled trans, you do need an aftermarket controller, which runs about $900.

there is a way to address both of these issues at once, and that is with a full pressure valve body. check out this site;

they have full pressure valve bodies for the AOD and the AOD-E as well as the 4R70W trans, so you dont need the electronic controller, or the TV cable, just a kick down cable like on the C4.
