Is there any difference between a C4 that was in a 6 cyl car and that of one that was put into a 8 cyl car? If so what is that difference and can the tranny from a 6 cyl car be built into a 8 cyl one? We are talking about 1964 1/2 - 1966 Mustangs. I know they have the geren dot valve body which is exclusive to those years. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks Tommy

generally the six cylinder C4's have one less clutch in the clutch packs, and smaller accumulator pistons. otherwise the six and V8 transmissions are the same. you can upgrade a six trans to V8 specs fairly easily.
