C4 with Lokar shifter

anyone here have a C4 with a Lokar shifter? if so how the *&#@# do you get the reverse lights to work? the shifter doesnt have a place to hook the reverse lights to.

lokar shifter

According to Lokar's web site, the shifter comes with one switch that can be used for reverse lights or for neutral safety. If you bought the indicator boot it comes with both switches, but cost as much as the shifter did. Hope this helps.

I may be wrong but....

Isnt the wire that gives power to the backup lights part of the starter lockout switch on the side of the transmision? Mounted directly over the linkage?

i didnt get the indicator boot... looking at the catalog all they make are ones for gm trannies

reverse

65fastbackresto was right when he said that the neutral safety switch and backup light switch were on the transmission for C4 and C6. I have an FMX which has the switch in the shifter. Unless you had to remove the switch on the transmission to install the shifter or the stock switch is malfunctioning, then you should be able to use the stock switch. The new Lokar catalog had Ford indicator boot CINB-1754 and CINB-1753 on page 11. Jamisson42166, you have a great looking engine bay.
